Job application tracker
Put each application in a column — saved, applied, interview, offer or rejected — and move it as things change. The board stays in your browser, and you can export it to a file at any time. Try it with the example cards, then remove them.

Nothing here. Move a card here when a company says no, so it stops cluttering the other columns.
What to write on a card, with an example
| Field | Why it helps | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Company and title | You will have many cards; this is how you tell them apart. | Northline Freight, Customer Support Lead |
| Date | Tells you when to follow up. | Applied Oct 2, 2026 |
| Link | Posts are taken down. Keep the address and the key lines. | https://…/jobs/1234 |
| Notes | People, versions and the next step. | Sent resume v3. Ask Sam about the team. Check back Oct 16. |
A card is a small record, not an essay. When you move it, the page stamps the day, so the date column always shows when the status last changed. Edit the card to correct the date if you applied earlier.
Want to check a resume against a post before you apply? That is done on our sister site, so we link to it rather than copy it: Check your resume against a job post (Resume Studio). Nothing on this board is sent there.
How do I track job applications?
Add a card the moment you find a job worth applying for, and put it in Saved. When you send the application, move it to Applied and set the date. If someone writes back, move it to Interview and write the day and time in the notes. An offer goes to Offer, and a no goes to Rejected so it stops taking space. Look at the board once a week: anything in Applied that has gone quiet is a card to follow up.
What should I write on each card?
The company and the job title are the minimum. Add the date you applied, the link to the post (the post may disappear later, so keep the link and the key lines in the notes), the name of any person you spoke to, which version of your resume you sent, and the next thing you have to do. A note such as “call back Friday” turns a list into a plan.
Is my application data safe on this tracker?
It is stored only in this browser, and the page makes no request that carries it; the site has no server that could receive it. That is private in the sense that we cannot see it. It is not locked: anyone who can open this browser profile on this computer can open the board, so on a shared computer export your file and clear the board when you leave. The exported file is plain text, so keep it where you keep other private documents.
How do I move my board to another device or back it up?
Press Export file to save a .json file on your device, then press Import file on the other device and choose it. The page asks whether to add the cards to the ones you already have or to replace them. If you use a spreadsheet, Download CSV gives you the same cards as columns you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. The three example cards are never included in an export.
When should I follow up after applying?
Read the post first: many say when they will answer. When they do not, a rule of thumb many job seekers use is to wait one to two weeks before a short, polite message. It is a habit, not a rule that every employer follows. Write the date you will check on the card, and then you do not have to remember it.
Questions about job application tracker
Is the job application tracker free?
Yes, and it does not ask you to sign up. Open the page and add a card.
Does the tracker apply to jobs for me?
No. It never contacts an employer. It is a board for your own records; you apply on the company’s own site or job board.
How many applications can I add?
Up to 500 cards. That is more than most searches need, and it keeps the page fast.
Can I attach my resume or a cover letter to a card?
No. The board holds text only. Write the name of the resume version in the notes, and keep the files in your own folder.
Can I open the exported file in a spreadsheet?
Use Download CSV for that. The JSON file from Export file is meant to be imported back into this board.
What if I import a file by mistake?
Before anything changes, the page tells you how many cards the file has and asks whether to add them or replace your board. You can cancel there. Export your board first if you are not sure.
What happens to the example cards?
They show how the board works and are marked Example. Press Remove examples and they are gone for good; they are also left out of every export.
